David Wright looks absolutely fantastic thus far.
With 13 walks in 9 games, he is on pace for 234 on the year.
While that number is, of course, way out of reach, he does look more and more like the player he was in 2007 and 2008 when he walked 94 times in each year.
Wright has widened his stance and taken more of a knee bend. It looks like this gives him a more stable base, which allows his head to remain steady.
David Wright looks poised to have the best season of his career...I'm convinced that Jeff Francoeur, Jose Reyes and Jason Bay on the field are certainly helping his mental state...getting Beltran back rounds out the crew and puts the lineup into serious firepower mode.
As for David...MVP? Probably not, but he is on his way to a big year. It's great to see.
