The incomparable Carlos Delgado continues his amazing run as the #1 slugger in baseball. Tonight he hit two mammoth homeruns and led the Mets to victory over the Washington Nationals.
The lefty slugger has hit 25 HRs and driven in 75 runs in the last 3 months and shows no signs of slowing down.
He has back-to-back multi homerun games and has absolutely won over the hearts of Met Nation.
Albert Pujols is the statistical MVP at this point in the season, but Carlos Delgado is easily the most important player for his team in the National League.
If he can get to 40 HRs and 120 RBIs, we think he'll win it....and deservedly so.
